Resources for Environmental History and the History of Science and Medicine

Environmental History Info aims to provide information, ideas, news, and resources in the fields of environmental history, the history of science and technology, the history of medicine and health and a few things in-between.

In the resources section you will find useful and interesting resources that are categorised into the aforementioned subject areas. Academic links receive their own section whereby all centres, schools and departments - when they have a designated webpage - are listed. Single modules and courses available in these subjects are not linked. Also to be found in this academic section will be academic groups/societies and accompanying journals as well as any pertinent collections, libraries or archival resources and databases. Finally, under the resource section, is a selected list of interesting blogs.

The bibliographic section will aim to provide select bibliographies that have been categorised as deemed appropriate. Each listing is to have a brief synopsis (more of a reminder) that will open up when selected. This has the aim to help you select between what may become a large list. This element is a work in progress and only a few have entries as of now. They are not reviews and will be descriptive; the most subjective I get is to my selected introductory (or deemed important) readings in each list.

Finally, the blog and news room. As of this moment the blog contains information of selected news and events in the main fields of environmental history, and the history and philosophy of science, technology and medicine - with the intention to bring in blog entries on important historiographical issues (probably prompted by some new news). The latest 'News and Events' entries are included on this page. Regardless of the youthful status of the blog section, it is most definitely up and running with respect to the news feed(ing) from a variety of sources and a link to my daily updated online newspaper of collated articles from around the web.

And, of course, any information that you feel can be added to the resource and bibliographic section would be most welcome!
